Suitable for a child, an adult, a pet, a teaspoon! Everyone can get involved.

Yes absolutely.  Many of our customers have taken impressions from buttons, dried ferns, tiny shells and even their pet’s paw.  We are constantly impressed to see what ideas people come up with. We suggest getting creative and trying a few different textures as there is enough putty in the kit for for multiple impressions.

Once we receive your putty impressions it usually takes between 2 to 4 weeks for silver and between 3 to 6 weeks for Gold plated, and gold pieces.  Each piece is made to order and hand finished in our Wellington workshop.

We encourage you to send back three impressions especially for fingerprints and time sensitive projects. This means that should something happen during the casting process that we have a backup impression to work with without increasing your wait time.

We also want you to have what you need to explore taking many impressions before you choose one.

Using a pea-sized amount of each putty for each impression will ensure there is enough for multiple attempts.

Yes you can – we can stamp their initials on the back for you. Just make sure each of your impressions are clearly labelled when you return them us for casting and we will take care of the rest.

We have had successful fully formed fingerprints from 2 and 3 year olds.  It is possible but not recommended to try on children younger than 2 as we cannot guarantee the outcome if their fingerprints are not fully formed yet.

Since our hands all age differently you but only try.  Explore taking impressions from different parts of the hand.  We have had some lovely impressions taken from hand creases and knuckles in the past.

You can look on the back of your enclosed instruction booklet to see what has been pre-purchased with your kit.  Here you will also find your unique customer code.  All you have to do is explore the possibilities and have fun capturing your own unique impression before sending it back to us with your unique code attached.  If you want to change anything including metal or chain length you can do so and pay the balance when you register your impression at the time you send it back to us.
